Performance Drivers Training Can Save Your Life

Mastering car control is what you want when you find yourself in an unpredictable situation on the road. Traditional driving schools teach you the basics of driving like stopping at red lights, parallel parking, merging onto highways, and how to maneuver through 4-way intersections. What they don’t teach you is what happens when you hit the Black ice, you hydroplane in the rain, snowy roads, you start to skid on a dirt road, someone cuts you off, and you lose control of your car. Taking a Performance driving class can help you learn what to do when you have to make a quick decision on the road. Having these skills can essentially save your life.

Should I enroll my teenager in a Performance driving class?

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety:

Performance Driving Schools May Be Exactly What you Need To Upgrade Your Driving Skills Or The Skills Of Your Young Driver In This Day And Age

As of 2016 statistics show that Car-related deaths among teenagers 16-17 years old accounted for over 2,000 fatalities and nearly 300,000 serious injuries. 16-year-olds have higher crash rates than any other age group.
With each additional passenger driving with a 16-year-old driver, the death rate increases. The reason more crashes happen in this age group is lack of training. There is also an immaturity mentality of risk. This age group is inexperienced and may overestimate their driving skills. They also don’t have the skill of dealing with unusual driving experiences that an older driver may have.
